an investment

Everyone has a budget. And if I’m being honest, before I got into the “paper business,” to say I was shell-shocked when shopping for my own wedding invitations would be an understatement. And to that, I say “You get what you pay for.”

I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve had friends or family use an online resource for their wedding invitations and walk away feeling less than excited about their invitations. Sometimes we’re unsure of what to budget for when it comes to invitations and day-of needs, because at the end of the day, “it’s just paper right?” But for me, it’s a memory. It’s like those photographs you have perfectly placed in your wedding album that takes you back to your special wedding day every time you look at them. I have a little secret…your invitations will do that too! I’ve had so many couples who have gone on to frame their wedding invitations, because you know what? They did a thing! They got married! And anything that will spark that memory, should be put on a wall!

The average invitation varies in cost. I know, I know…you just want a ballpark. And I’m getting there! I promise. Depending on printing method, quantity, paper choice, and extras, couples can expect a starting price of $350.

WHEN YOU PURCHASE AN INVITATION SUITE, IT WILL INCLUDE

  • Custom-Designed Invitation

  • Response Card & White Envelope

  • Information Card

  • Main Envelope

the process

Planning a wedding is a process and can sometimes feel overwhelming and frankly, no fun at all!
Designing your wedding invitations should be exciting, creative and easy…for you! Here’s what to expect!

consultatioN

Getting to know you, and your style is key, and the first step in our relationship together! We will talk all things wedding, from color scheme, style, flowers, guests, location, and more. These are critical to ensuring your invitations help bring all the elements of your wedding together. Choosing to get together face to face, or over a video chat, we’ll look at styles you’re interested in, to create a custom invitation suite for you.

THE PROPOSAL + CONTRACT

After we’ve combed through the details, I will create a custom proposal, outlining timelines, and products I will provide. When you’ve approved the estimate, I will send over an invoice through a portal. This client portal gives you all the up to date information on your invitations, including proofs. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required in order for the design process to begin. The remaining balance will be due once your designs are sent to press. And now the fun begins!

DESIGN +
FINAL APPROVAL

Here’s the fun part. As soon as you’ve settled on colors and wording, the designing begins! I will create 2-3 designs for you to review and decide on. It is pertinent that you let me know of specifics you like or dislike, as this is your wedding! Once we have all the information from you we will design your invitation.Once the invitation is designed I will design the accompanying pieces for you to review and approve. As soon as you’ve deciding on the designs, we will move to print! You will receive a final proof for your approval, and it’s very important that you take the time to proofread everything! I am not responsible for errors after the proof has been approved and sent for printing. At the time of approval, you will also receive a final invoice to be completed in order to send your designs off to press! Standard flat printing takes
2-4 weeks for printing, and letterpress or foil takes 4-6 weeks for printing.
